    The best time to visit South Korea is generally in the spring (April to June) and fall (September to November) when the weather is mild and pleasant.

    • Transportation The country has a very efficient public transportation system, including subways in large cities like Seoul and Busan. Taxis are also widely available and reasonably priced compared to other developed countries.
    • Language The official language is Korean. Many young people speak English, especially in tourist areas, but learning a few basic Korean phrases can be helpful.
    • Currency The local currency is the South Korean won (KRW). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it's advisable to have cash for small shops and local markets.
    • Local Customs Respect is very important in social interactions. For instance, it is customary to bow slightly when greeting someone. Also, it is common to remove your shoes before entering a home.
    • Food The cuisine is varied and spicy, featuring signature dishes like kimchi, bibimbap, and bulgogi. Meals are often accompanied by several small side dishes known as 'banchan'.
